The reason that I chose this text: It was one of the most impressive movie that I ever watched.
Quote 1:
“You don’t need everyone to love you, just a few good people.”
-Charity Barnum
When P.T Barnum was chasing for praise, his wife, Charity reminds him that he doesn’t need everyone to love him. He just needs a few good people. I think this quote is really good because we wish to be famous and be loved but actually, we don’t need everyone to be loved. Just a few good people such as family, and your friends.
Quote 2:
“I am brave. I am bruised. This is who I’m meant to be. This is me.”
-Lettie Lutz
Lettie is one of the performers of Barnum’s American Museum. This is my favourite quote because it means be yourself and don’t be afraid of other peoples eyes.
The ideas in this movie: Do not judge a book by its cover. For example, no one likes performers of the Barnum’s Museum because they look a bit different to other people, but they have feelings like us and they are talented.
Language feature: Repetition
The songs were repeated as well as its rhythm in this film. Also some lyrics were repeated because it’s important and to make the idea more clear.
This movie can be linked to the real world because our life may succeed but it may lose everything.
