Giving my opinion. LM REVIEW.

TRASH / BY ANDY MULLIGAN / NOVEL / DATE READ / 27 OCT / 2018 /

Recently I have read the book Trash by Andy Mulligan. I did not actually chose this text, my Mum     did. I was given this book around the time this reading project came about. So I decided to do my giving my opinion studie on this book. At first I was a bit sceptical about this book, but after the first chapter I was hooked.

The book is  set somewhere in India is a rubbish dump where lots of people live. During the day most of them search through the piles of garbage looking for things they can sell. But this story is around two boys who find something while searching through rubbish. And It gets them in a lot of trouble.

After reading this book it was fair to say that I enjoyed very much. It was a real nail biter and had you on the edge of your seat. And it also brought up some strong ideas hidden deep within the text itself.
''You never know what you'll find'' Quote from the book.

The ideas in the text paint a clear image of what some conditions children are living in today, lots of poverty and not enough food to go around adds to the bigger picture. Another idea in this book displays the lack of toilets in india as most of the trash bags in the dump contain paper that's been peed on because people can't find or afford toilets.

The book text features a array of language features. To start, this book tells the story from a wide range of characters each with a large range of different opinions and thoughts. Then throughout the book it adds describes each detail precisely and engages the reader deeper you enter the chapters.

I think this book is mainly linked to today's society and problems. When I read this I could link it to a lot of today's poverty problems and not enough money to go around. I have learnt a lot more about the current situation, Good read I really enjoyed highly recommend it.
