He wouldn't change his mind. I could see he was tired so I told him
"you should rest as I go and try to find water."
So he took a seat and rested. As I persevered on.

I really like this story line. Could you please at the Speech Mark at the beginning of the second line in the second paragraph, and some capitals. Other than that, Well done.
