On that day, I was learning acrylic painting, drawing two apples in black and white, just like sketching.
I start with a pale gray shape and then find out the dividing line, highlight and reflection. Then I painted the background in dark grey to give a contrast, which made it easier for me to find the natural color of the apple.I used a light grey background, dark grey shadows, thin white paint reflections, and Mary's white paint highlights (because I found that New Zealand native paints were generally thinner)
I painted it over and over again, and it was hard to finish. I washed the pen in the water and cheerfully dried the water off the brush. Then I saw a striking dot on my painting. I quickly sucked the water off with a towel and the paint was gone.
Why would I do that?!
