You're kidding me, right? I mentioned in disbelief, as I faced my associate whom simply shrugged and replied, "That's what I said." I paused.
"Of coursed she'd be there." I cringed, yet as I read the contents of the letter, I was aware of the smile on my face. It was my fault she was there, stuck on an island in the Bahamas. Only then did I realize how guilty I felt from buying her a one-way ticket. I was briefly cut short by my associate who was laughing at my demented expressions, I scorned as he said. "It's your fault, isn't it?"
